Decoherence and quantum contextuality
نویسنده
چکیده
Decoherence is the most widely accepted mechanism to explain the loss of coherence in quantum systems. Here we show how simple (quantum) trajectory–based models can help to understand the physics behind decoherence processes. In particular, we will analyze with these models the relationship between decoherence and quantum contextuality in the double–slit experiment, where two (quantum) contexts can be clearly distinguished: (i) two slits open simultaneously, or (ii) only one slit open at a time. Contextuality, decoherence and quantum trajectories
Here we analyze the relationship between quantum contextuality and decoherence in interference experiments with matter particles by means of a simple reduced quantum-trajectory model, which attempts to simulate the behavior of the projections of multi-dimensional, system-plus-environment Bohmian trajectories onto the subspace of the reduced system. This model allows us to understand the crossin...
متن کاملDecoherence effects on quantum Fisher information of multi-qubit W states
Quantum fisher information of a parameter characterizing the sensitivity of a state with respect to parameter changes. In this paper, we study the quantum fisher information of the W state for four, five, six and seven particles in decoherence channels, such as amplitude damping, phase damping and depolarizing channel. Using Krauss operators for decoherence channels components, we investigate t...

We study an entangled two-mode coherent state within the framework of2×2-dimensional Hilbert space. We investigate the problem of quantum teleportation ofa superposition coherent state via an entangled coherent channel. By three differentmeasures with the titles ``minimum assured fidelity (MASF)”, ``average teleportationfidelity” and ``optimal fidelity (f)” we study the ...

We show how quantum resources can be used to gain advantage in games witnessing the fundamental logical and computational concept of homomorphism between relational structures. Thi...
متن کاملContextuality, Cohomology and Paradox
Contextuality is a key feature of quantum mechanics that provides an important nonclassical resource for quantum information and computation. Abramsky and Brandenburger used sheaf theory to give a general treatment of contextuality in quantum theory [New Journal of Physics 13 (2011) 113036]. However, contextual phenomena are found in other fields as well, for example database theory. In this pa...
